ASTON & MONZA FUEL FILLER CAPS

ASTON & MONZA FUEL FILLER CAPS

Originally manufactured in England by the Enots company, no one is quite sure of the original date this types of caps began to appear on automotive applications. We have seen advertisements in car magazines dating back to 1937 making them one of the oldest automotive components still in current use. They will always be associated with famous competition cars of the sixties. Twin Monza type caps on the rallying Mini Coopers and single large Aston caps on Cobras and others. As with all great designs they are timeless and certainly do not look out of place on modern day machinery.
Monza caps are available in either polished aluminium or chrome plated brass. A concealed snap action release facilitates opening and makes for a very clean appearance. Caps are supplied in vented form, but for competition we can supply a conversion to non-vented. Monza caps are designed to screw-on to threaded brass collars, or chrome plated brass bolt-on flanges for direct tank or remote to tank mounting. Popular for all automotive, motorcycle, marine and aviation applications.
Aston caps are available in either polished aluminium or chrome plated brass (3.5" version can also be supplied in black epoxy finish). With its quick release action, the Aston cap was used primarily as a fuel filler cap on sports racing cars before dry break systems became compulsory for international racing. The actual catch/latch mechanism has been simplified over the years and to satisfy contemporary safety regulations further modifications are likely. A "roller" catch version, to satisfy the purists, is available on the large 3.5" Aston. Caps are supplied in vented form, but for competition we can supply a conversion to non-vented. Aston caps are designed to screw-on to threaded brass collars, or chrome plated brass bolt-on flanges for direct tank or remote to tank mounting.
